Deception

Deception

The water rushes over me,
Sweet surrender.
It's unbarebly cold,
But I feel no longer.
Hope was taken long ago,
Along with it my heart and soul.
It's the only way,
So here I go.
Along with the tides,
Aimlessly floating along.

Few words so sweetly put upon a page, drifting aimlessly. Your inner beauty is ever so present your heart can bare the ever crashing waves of time.

The title Deception is perfect because even the words are decieving

Wouldn't it be nice to just drift though life with no direction letting the tide pull us?

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
