    Darkness

    She sits alone in darkness.

    Blinded by her thoughts.

    Her mind runs ramped.

    Sending rage and anger.

The blood burns in her veins.

Her heart pounds out of control.

    Her nerves begin to quiver.

    Her body starts to shake.

    The feelings are now arising.

    The pain will never end.

    Reaching for the light.

    Not knowing where it is.

Darkness on the inside resurfaces again.

    Her hands are now sweating.

From the thing she has done.

    Looking over her body.

    Still holding the smoking gun.

    Ended, now it’s over.

This life, you only get one.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
