Crystalized Sediments of Love

Poem Commentary

Just got finished with a bad breakup and was feeling down. I know this is not the ends that all of the love that I have poured out will turn into something beautiful that eventually someone will cherish forever.

Crystalized Sediments of Love

Love blooms like flowers under the midnight sun,
Gaining beauty every day untill the growings done,

When the growings done the flowers turn to dust,
Gracefully falling to the Earth with every gentle gust,

The sediments lay on the Earth and nature does its thing,
Slowly compacting the flowers each and every Spring,

The flowers turn to rock and then one final day,
A solem miner in search of jewles breaks the ground in May,

The love we once shared brings a smile to his face,
As he stares upon his beloved jewel and finds his saving grace,

Our beautiful love that faded and turned so ugly and gray,
Will now be cherished by him on this faithfull day in May.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
