Count the Ways My Love
Count the Ways My Love
Let me see if I can see myself the way you see me
Yea, let me count the ways
You see me overbearing
to whatever depths, I can only guess
You see me as meddling,
how do I know?
You’ve counted them
so many times
The way I look at you,
you say puts fear into your soul
What to me is sincere advice
to you is interference,
You feel diminished and insulted
If I’m contrary to you.
I say “you should”,
How thoughtless of me,
not to take into account your
feelings,
So tell me,
how do you see yourself? ...
Let me see if I can see myself the way you see me
Yea, let me count the ways
You see me overbearing
to whatever depths, I can only guess
You see me as meddling,
how do I know?
You’ve counted them
so many times
The way I look at you,
you say puts fear into your soul
What to me is sincere advice
to you is interference,
You feel diminished and insulted
If I’m contrary to you.
I say “you should”,
How thoughtless of me,
not to take into account your
feelings,
So tell me,
how do you see yourself? ...
