Consumed

When I look at you do you see the fire in my eyes?

It will never go away, even when I cry.

The love I have for you is so bold and strong; I have enough to last you your whole life long.

That's why I make this promise today to fulfill your every desire;

So that when we are old and grey we can say we were consumed by the fire.

Thank you so much.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
