Caged Angels
A glimpse,
A glimmer
Out of the corner of my eye.
A word.
A whisper.
Cherubim flicking the back of my mind.
Floating.
Flirting.
Get the net and catch ‘em,
Paste ‘em on a page.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
