Broken love
Eyes immersed in the depths of a thousand dark nights haunt me,
Lips forged in the heated embers of desire taunt me.
A touch soft and inviting calls out to me,
A fiery stare bound me.
Like a dark forest in daylight I could not see the danger,
In the throws of passion I could not see I lay with a stranger.
After an endless battle for emotional control,
I willingly surrendered myself ;mind, body, and soul.
Now; a blood soaked dagger protrudes from my chest,
Soaked am I in the remnants of a love filled with deception and regrets.
To the victor goes the spoils of a broken heart in pain,
Yet; I fear for my tormentor for karma will be the avenger of a love given in vain.
