    BITTERNESS

    you walk amongst the skeletons
in the town that you live
like the ghosts in your mind
    you’re not likely to forgive
your home is like a cemetery
with a coffin for a bed
your bitterness is like a sword
fighting the demons in your head
in your closet hangs your clothes
    limply like your spirit
    all around you angels sing
but your so angry you can’t hear it
    you’re drowning in self pity
    against your foes you fight
    to make them all pay
will be your life long plight
    everyone is against you
    even your friends are lying
like the evil in your dreams
while you sleep they are spying
    this loathing that you convey
    you’re sure everyone will misconstrue
you hate everyone for their sins
but who you’re really loathing is you

To love ones self can be most difficult at times! Fine writing!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
