We will not forget that this American Nation was founded on the blood of our Ancestors…

 Removal… Hangings… Massacres… Starvation … Biological Warfare…

and Ethnic Extermination of Women and Children

were all weapons deployed by the

United States Army…

When unable to defeat Native American Warriors on the field of battle.

Warriors from the North.

Warriors from the West. Warriors from the East.

Warriors from the South.

Fought and died for their Way of Life…
For the Mother Earth…

and for the very lives of their Women and Children.

Subjugation and pacification…

Pacification and subjugation…

There can and will be no pacification or subjugation of the Native American Heart and Spirit.

We have been… We are… We will always be The One True People of this Land.

We will not forget the Sacrifices of our Ancestors…

We will not forget the Traditions and Customs of our Ancestors…

We will not forget the Dances and Religious Ceremonies of our Ancestors…

We will not forget that this American Nation was founded on the blood of our Ancestors…

Ancestors who died rather than yield to slavery.

Treaties… Theft… Deceit… Treachery…Termination… Assimilation

Congressional Committees and finally the Bureau of Indian Affairs were all methods employed by the

United States Government…

When unable to convert Native American Nations to a perverted and false reality.

Warriors from the North.

Warriors from the West.  Warriors from the East

Warriors from the South.

Fought and died for their Way of Life… For the Mother Earth…

and for the very lives of their Women and Children.

Courage and perseverance…

perseverance and courage…

have sustained the Native American Heart and Spirit for thousands of years.

We have been… We are… We will always be The One True People of this Land.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
