So many times I've heard
"You're free to be you, because of Him"
But what is it to be "me"?
Am I really free to be
Shy?
Quiet?
When I hear or read that I'm
Free to be me
It never does set me free
It's just another thing to hold me back
To make me question who I am
Wouldn't most people think that to be free is to
Be free to dance?
Free to show their personality?
What if people don't realize I am showing my personality by being
Shy and Quiet?
Maybe there is more to me than that
Surely there is

So to say I'm
"Free to be me"
Is a nice concept and should help me out
But instead
I question and analyze
When maybe I shouldn't.
But it seems like if I don't analyze I'll never be able to be free
Because I won't know what it means
But that's an oxymoron right?
To analyze your freedom
