    A Wintry Mix

Now, I see no cold or snow-
Though I'd like it to 'free' me.
That's you winter not spring, summer
or fall. "Don't get me wrong".

I'm never ready to give up honor
of your white ministry-all winter long.
I mumble and cry myself to change
    for 'me'.

As you do, then I look easy into a
    more perfect life. Outside alot.
Carefree and warm. Alive and well.
This is spring to fall-it's for me.

Though now, in midst of icy storms, I thank
you in advance. I know, I get what I want
inside at home. So again I say.. 'I don't change..,
oh, you winter go from me!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
