    A letter to my daughter

    Time marches on
    Another day gone
Everyday you grow and i know
    Its another step
     Another leap out my door
I hope i have showen you well
    Gave you the tools
Showen you the good and never
    given you to much hell
I just want you to know before its
    Your time to go
Out into that big crule world
I will always be that voice
of reason just out of sight
A safe place for you to fall
I ll never get in your way
I will always let you have the spot light
But most important I love you
You are my heart and light
    I am with you always
    My sweet little love

I enjoyed this read and thoughts portrayed here. I think most of us can relate to what you are saying. 10 from me.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
