we live like everything is forever
when life is only temporary
complacent we cannot afford to be
in effect it's apathy
life is short we're fond to say
because we don't know how long we can stay

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
