    7 years

    I can wait
    If it’s not too late
Just give me a reason to keep on praying

    I can wait
    If you ask me too
You are the reason why I lost the blues

I can stay with you all day
Our conversations give meaning to me
    If it’s God’s will
    Then it will be
My prayer that it’s you and me

    From now on
I can stay in His loving arms
And hope that you’d also pray
Though 7 years might be too long
But if it’s His will, we can move along.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
