Orion headless, Poetry Journal

‘Orion headless’
Poetry Journal

Dear Friends,

I am happy to announce that the poetry journal ‘Orion headless’ has accepted my poem, “Rattle”, for publication.

My gratitude goes to publisher, Sara Fitzpatrick Comito, and the entire staff at ‘Orion headless’ for selecting my work. Thank you!

“Rattle” is from my fifth book-length manuscript.

Note To Writers:

Over the past year, “Rattle” has been rejected by 18 publications. Perseverance in the wake of rejection is imperative, even when rejection comes with a handwritten snippy remark, as from one editor (a man) calling my poetry: “forced and common place”.

My first book, ‘In Forbidden Language’, published by Stillpoint Books, was rejected 12 times, and once with a handwritten note (from a man) saying: “This manuscript will never get published, and your writing tools should be taken away from you”.

All I can say to these two men is: Touché!

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
