I had some poems that I had written and then decided to set them to music. I did the whole writing out the musical notes with the songs included and then I copyrighted some of them. They are stored away right now and its probably a good idea to get them back out now since I have some more sophisticated music software that I can add them to. |

Re: Does anyone write their own songs?I am a songwriter, and play guitar in a local band down here in Camden County, GA. |

Re: Does anyone write their own songs?I have virtually no musical ability but I love to sing and I also write poetry. I have had songs come to me and also written poetry that I loved so much that I latter put music to it. My older brother used to play guitar and he would occassionally read some of my poems and try to put them to music. Not sure what I'll ever do with it, since I'm not in a band and am not musically inclined, but I do think it is pretty cool!! |

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
