HELP! Please help my write an original poem from this one called Green

How do I write an orginal poem from the poem Green?

Green was the maiden green green!
Green her eyes were, green her hair.

The wild rose in her green wood
was neither red nor white, but green.

Through the green air she came.
(The whole earth turned green for her).

The shining gauze of her garment
was neither blue nor white, but green.

Over the green sea she came.
(And even the sky turned green then).

My life will always leave unlatched
a small green gate to let her in.


I need some help writing an original poem from this one either in reaction to, or in symbiosis with the ideas, structures, or conventions of it.

Write a scene that comes next. For example:

I marveled at her natural beauty
The green accenting those green eyes

Unto her I imposed a question:
"Why the gentle hue of green?"

Etc.

I love the poem! Maybe write one contrasting it using another colour, maybe change the tone of it make it darker, almost like a parody of the poem. Or the green girl dies and everything becomes its original colour again and talk about the sad loss of green which was better than the other colours. Or just talk about green things or things that should be green, how the colour green makes you feel
