your eyes

your eyes
Your Eyes-
In your eyes I see
Small oceans staring back at me
Wonder not quite died
Pain, adrenaline
And the feared dark tide
In your eyes I can dive
Deeper but only to a point
When you cry I crave to know
What it takes to tap your soul
Feelings that make you tick
Cause the tears which drip
From my face onto the pillow
Close to your body but alone
A million fathoms
Night revives the cling
The temporary cling
But daylight swashes
Anything real
It kills and washes
Up dry and sealed
To untie again some other life

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
