I have 3 minutes today,
so I can convey all that's unsaid
and give you my truth of what's been spoon fed.
Don't worry I'll be original.
I won't start with some political miracle,
a habitual ritual or alove that's conditional.
I'm told to be careful for my words might offend.
"Fernando your outspoken and the truth you bend,
curb your way's or you'll live in a pen with a tiny ass
window and Mandela as your friend"
My pen's on demand for ideas I can't stand;
like THE MAN, or todays version of American Band Stand.
Ok I'll indulge these fake ass fans.
6 million voted for a doll this way,
It's the next craze.
To get your voice herd for an artist to be praised.
I guess we should have presidents on stage
give Secrest the mic and him narrate
while the A.I. three stooges have a congressional debate.
There must be a solution for this mental pollution,
a way to enrich the media's intrussion.
Hire some poets they'll erase this illusion.
They would be the cure for any cranial contusions.

the 10 O'clock news wehere poets have started,
destroying censorships that are so deeply guarded.
Articulating stories of a child whose retarded
or how the bush administration will soon be departed.

I'm not sure who Fernando is.....
I did like the way that you tied in politics and the way things are changing in the world. So many people were so excited about change a few years back. I don't think they are quite excited anymore. I really liked the flow and enjoyed your poem.
