Missing the OP CommunityIt's so sad what has happened to this community. I hope other's have found great new communities to post their writings in. I visit very rarely to this site, but for whatever reason it is still where I like to post my poetry. Even without any point to the contests... |

RE: Missing the OP CommunityI, too, like OP. I am surprized it is still here. I joined fanstory to see what it is about. |

RE: Missing the OP CommunityI think you'll enjoy it. I tried looking you up there but saw you hadn't posted anything yet. I'll keep an eye out for you. It's a cool community - but yeah, the OP was awesome for a long time... so I check in occasionally to see what the final outcome is. |

RE: Missing the OP CommunityLike you said. Fanstory costs. I didn't get warm fuzzies from it. It's not that cheap either. Hmmmmm |

Hmmmmm I will try 21stcenturypoets.com. Come one, come all, come poets, readers, critics, come and play at "www.21stcenturypoets" where many former OP members are gathering and a lot of new poets too. |

RE: Missing the OP CommunityI thing I am going to like 21st century poetry. I just posted my first poem: |

RE: Missing the OP CommunityI'm on 21st century poets. Maybe I just haven't figured out quite how to navigate that site yet. Fanstory isn't for everyone ~ I like it. I like contests, and there are many there... My focus on that site is short stories. I post hardly any poems there. It has done wonders for helping me develop my short stories though, because some people are dreadfully honest when they don't like something there, but it teaches me what to improve on. I prefer different communities for my poems. |

RE: Missing the OP CommunityI still stop in from time to time, I too am surprised its still here. I will clean out whats left here and start posting again here on occasion. I am at 21st also and several sites ... nothing like OP in its good days. I still have people here I would like to follow and regain touch, be well aalllk |

RE: Missing the OP Community21st century is the only other poetry place I check into ever so often... like you Kdarcy, I will continue to check in here off and on, as long as it's still standing. |
A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
