In Light Of Recent News... SuSpence and SuperChick62's Art/Literature Site
Okay, so here's the deal... As we all know they laid off Laka (papapaczki), and even though I'm sure we'll try all we can to bring him back, Spence and I decided to bring to light our art site that we've been planning and working on for the past several months.
In the next couple of weeks Spence and I will be working at getting this site up, but I should warn you, it wasn't supposed to go up for a couple of months yet, so there may be some kinks we'll have to work out along the way.
But, because of Laka's forced absence we decided to push the schedule up.
I'd give you the site's name, but it's not actually up yet, and I fear giving out the domain name... It'd suck to have to buy it from somebody else who was able to buy it before us.
But, I wanted to let you all know because I honestly don't know how much longer the site is going to be up, Laka was the only thing keeping this place active at all, and now... Well, I don't know.
So, here's the site plans:
Over the years that Spence and I have been members we've encountered artists of all different kinds, from poets, to painters, to musicians, to photographers, you name it! So, we decided a couple months ago to work on a site for those artists, whether they are just in to one aspect of art or many. For it's ALL art!
Due to recent events we'll try to have the site up and running as quickly as possible, I'm hoping before the end of February.
Short-term goals:
• Free place to display your work. If you have something you consider art, let us know, we'll make a section for it, even if there's just one item on that list, we'll add it! There is countless forms of art, and we're here to display them all... Even if we can't think of them all.
• Self Publication for your own book at a reasonable price. Self publishing companies charge you THOUSANDS of dollars to get your work published, as most of you all know, but we're working on ways for you get published at rock bottom prices. We're tired of the scams and people getting their hopes up only to be crushed.
• Even though we're going to copyright material we publish( something, we believe in, and will make sure it happens. ), we'll offer resources to get your works copyrighted at the cheapest prices.
Future plans (Be the near or far off, depending on prices and income)
• Printing for paintings, etc. Whether for personal or to sell, it's not our concern. We want to get them printed for you in the highest quality available... At the cheapest price.
• Professional accounts. Many forms of art are used for professional purposes, like say, web design, home design, or even paintings. We're going to have a professional page for you. This will be a membership option and will require a small fee (due to web space not being free), but you know Spence and/or myself, so we WILL charge a reasonable price.
• Options to sell e-books, which is a large trend these days.
• Options to sell your paintings and/or other forms of art.
These are a few things we're working on, so, as you can see, it's a big project, but we think it'll work... If we get the right kind of people to follow us.
Idk how good of a sale that was... But I guess I'll find out... Pretty much what I'm trying to say, is that I REALLY hope OP doesn't die... But the odds are against us, and I don't want to lose the community we have going here. We really think it can work... And so far, to those of you I've talked to, you think it can work, too.
Last bit of information... Due to it not being actually online yet, there's no place for you to log into... So you can PM me or Spence your email (If you don't trust us, make a new email account, set up forwarding (gmail offers that for free, yahoo charges)).
