OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD----A must readShowman's poem, "Off The Top of my head" What a sublime " life and mission statement", you have.written. Showman,! You have outshone Shakespeare,as well as the English Metaphysical poets. Shakespeare said: "All the world's a stage. And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances , And one man in his time plays many parts" Further, in another of his plays, he declaims" Tomorrow and tomorrow ,and tomorrow, Creeps in this petty pace from day to day To the last syllable of recorded time; And all our yesterdays have lighted fools The way to dusty death. Shakespeare looks cynically at life: "Out, out brief candle ! Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, That frets and struts its hour upon the stage. And then is heard no more. ;it is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury. Signifying nothing." And inspired by this magnificent poem of yours, I could go on and on to bore you to death, ......LOL. Obviously , you are not a cynic like Shakespeare or some of the English metaphysical poets.
