RE: District Nine

Hi there Brett! Don't usually hang out in the Forums but 'course now that I'm getting involved in a thread ...

Ya I go to the movies a lot (don't have cable). Like sci-fi and action.
Although I must say - for what ever reason this flick whizzed by me real quick and I never got a chance to see it. There are a number of poor excuses for actions movies lately. I walked out half way through Crank! It was totally banal. The one called GAMER is just about in that category for me as well. I'll have to rent District Nine. Why not this coming weekend he says to himself.

RE: District Nine

you really must!

It's a great picture on so many levels: quality, originality, social commentary...

RE: District Nine

I liked the idea of it, and I like how it potrayed the harsh and cruel side of society. But I wasn't that impressed with it, overall.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.
