The Room UpstairsFrom the room upstairs comes a rattle and flutter as the rain beats on the outside window pane. Somewhere in the dark of night , I wonder if the little girl will visit here again. She's such an imp a little scamp with long brown ringlets in her hair. Her eyes like the emerald hills far below. I'm the new occupant of this grand old manner, as the Irish Ilies are calling me home. I have not a worry. I need not be afraid. I have answed the call, My grandmother follows me from room to room as dose my mother the little girl. Calling me home! Calling me home! Calling me home once more. Room With No WindowsRound and around and around we go. Where it stops nobody knows. It's hard not to lose control, in a room with no with no windows. Up and down we search the walls. Seen nothing ,but we've seen it all. Nothing left to recall in a room with no windows Last edited by Papa 01-25-2010 at 07:46:42 PM |

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
