Yesteryear
Do you remember the things of the past?
When you were a lad and i just a lass
No worries or problems did we ever know?
Just two great friends starting to grow
So full of laughter happiness and love
The sun always shining in the heavens above
Beautiful flowers so colourful and bright
Just like a rainbow a magical sight
Like all the flowers that blossom and bloom
Our lives they will change all too soon
No longer a child so tiny and small
Now im a woman so proud and so tall
I still have my memories of yesteryear
Of me and my friend and the things we hold dear
No worries no problems just like the past
My husbands that lad and i am that lass

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
