Why Tossed Away

Why Tossed Away
Why still love a lost who sent me away?
The name, his looks and what ever else
still remains upon my mind to wish he were still mine.
What was the reason he sent me away?
No love, no kindness, and maybe not enough respect
for what each other should have meant.
Who or what should have been done right away?
Just him or me or maybe both of us
to continue in a bond that should have made us one.
Were problems there that could have been sent away?
Family, friends, or counselors were needed more
to advise him and me what they loved for.
How could one not want a life set by God anyway?
Faith, love, and hope are binding ways
to help the two, him and her, to cope.
Can I survive after being tossed away?
History is past, it will never change
and looking back makes me feel strange.
How can these thoughts be thrown away?
To focus and look upon the now and the future and love for God,
who will never send me away!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
