Sunday Paper family weekly

In the front page of the family weekly in last sunday's paper was a lady asking why do our taxes go to paying for poetry and the writers of poems since no one reads poetry anyway!!!
I didn't know that our taxes paid for it AND the supposed fact that noo one reads poetry..
thier answer was not much just to sayy that one poet in california made about $35000. a year writing and that the money came fom private funding??? well does anyone here think that no one reads poetry, (maybe just the uncultured) and do our taxes really go for and where is our Cut?? big surprise tongue wink snake
