Re: If you want to be a WriterIf you want to be a writer you must give away your writing just to get known and promote yourself as much as you can by letting the public know you're here to tell them a story for free. I placed some of my published works in a plastic ziploc bag at the top of a tower referred to as The Poet's Seat, in Greenfield, MA, where tourists go to look out over the mountains and towns. I addressed the works to whomever should find these books, to enjoy them. Crazy simple things like these, get your stuff known. Also slip a poem or article into a waiting area's reading material so someone can read it while hanging around. Offer your works to the public library. I have done these things. That's because I want to be a writer. |
